linux nerds...

very soon, i'll be building a dedicated linux machine. the purpose is to become my primary workstation. i'll be surfing the web, checking email, doing on online chatting, listening to music, watching video clips... the usual.

nothing super fancy.

so, what is a good distro to start with to get my feet wet? mandriva? redhat? suse? debian? gentoo? ubuntu?

i'm not a developer, and i'm just a beginner with linux.

and yes, i'll be running linux on an x86 platform, and i want dual monitor support (i'll have an agp card that has dual monitor outputs).

so, gimme feedback! thanks!
